ON LEASH BOARD AND TRAIN

Our two-week training program is a great option for dog and puppy owners who are traveling and want to make productive use of boarding, or who want to jumpstart their dogs obedience training on an accelerated timeline.

+R Dog Training
Program Benefits

This overnight dog training camp is designed for dogs who are generally friendly with other dogs and people, and are not showing any signs of reactivity, anxiety, or aggression. Our two week board and train has a focus on leash manners and neutral behavior around distractions, but does not cover off-leash reliability or include any e-collar training. This program is available to dogs and puppies!

What sets us apart from other dog trainers in Denver? THE FIELD TRIPS. Check out our videos on Instagram and Facebook!  We take the dogs to hiking trails, popular Denver Parks, Dog-Friendly stores, and neighborhood walks. We take the dogs to public spaces as a regular part of their training to make sure they have great experiences, and can navigate new environments with manners.

Our regular video and photo updates keep you ‘in the know’ regarding your dog’s progress, and also provide tutorials about our training techniques.

*If your dog is barking, growling, or lunging at dogs or people, suffering from anxiety or fear, or showing any aggression, check out our Reactive Dog Bootcamp instead.

*We also offer comprehensive Puppy Training programs, as well as an Off Leash Board and Train program.

If you aren’t sure, don’t hesitate to give us a call! We can talk you through which program would benefit you and your dog the most.

Why Choose a Boarding and Training Program?

Board and Train programs offer advanced dog obedience training on an expedited timeline, giving you the results you need to get to living your best life with your dog quickly! Having a professional dog trainer work with your dog 7 days a week gets the repetitions done correctly and fairly, allowing us to move at a faster pace than you would be able to do via private lessons or group classes elsewhere.

Your Questions Answered.

Dog Dynamix has been helping Denver dog owners for over 16 years. We know you want the best for your dog, and we want you to rest assured knowing you’ve found that in us.

We recommend the following when searching for a ‘dog trainer near me’:

  • Check online reviews (GoogleFacebook, etc)
  • Browse social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), watching for proof of happy, well-trained dogs.
  • Sign up for a phone consultation to discuss your dog in depth
  • Ask about the dog-to-trainer ratio, especially for large-volume facilities
  • As for your prospective dog trainers professional experience, including:
    • Years training dogs full time
    • Experience in other dog-related careers (animal shelter, veterinary care, boarding and daycare services, etc.)
    • Check for titles in dog sports, industry-related awards, or otherwise
    • Ask about mentorships, workshops, and seminars they’ve attended

We want dogs to graduate our training programs with a solid balance of ‘want to’ and ‘have to’. The ‘want to’ part of the equation comes from a lot of positive reinforcement and motivational training techniques, so the dogs are happy and eager-to-please. The ‘have to’ portion is for their safety, and so they can do more with their owners. We are a balanced training facility, meaning we use all four quadrants of learning in our training programs. We teach dogs what we want them to do, and then enforce them with fair corrections and humane training methods.

Step one is a phone consultation, so we can make sure we are a good match and that we can make sure we are putting your dog in the right program. Once we’ve determined a program and chosen a start date, we get you in our online pet portal, create the reservation, and take a non-refundable deposit to book the stay. Once you complete the online portal, we are ready to rock and roll!

A board and train program is a great way to get advanced dog obedience training FAST. We work 7 days a week to give your dog training repetitions in the house, on the training property, and out on field trips (pet friendly stores, parks, trails, and more). Your dog will spend every day with a professional trainer, getting in multiple training sessions and working on house manners. That being said, training your dog is only half of the equation.

Once your dog graduates from the training program, the client education portion begins! We need to teach you how to work with your dog like a dog trainer. You will receive written and video instructions on how to enforce the training, how to use the equipment, and what to do when your dog blows you off (because dogs WILL test your dog training skills when they come home). For the first two weeks post-graduation, we will ask you to keep everything low distraction. It is important you learn to read your dog and know how react proactively in new situations before upping the difficulty. Once those two weeks are up, we can meet for a private follow up lesson to test the training skills in more difficult situations. Our programs will train your dog, but they will also train you… which is almost more important!

Dog Dynamix training programs are designed to first train your dog, and then train you and your family so that you can protect your investment and keep your dogs new skills sharp. All of our programs include the recommended training gear and follow up lessons needed to keep your pup on track.

Dog owners looking for the highest quality training possible send their dog to live with our trainers at our Denver training facility for a few weeks, during which the trainers will work one-on-one with the dog to teach them life changing obedience skills and help address any behavior issues they may have. By removing the distractions and stressors of home life, our trainers can focus solely on training the dog and making progress quickly.

At the end of the program, it’s time to train the humans! Our programs include follow up private lessons and group practice classes to keep both the dog and the dog owner(s) on track, so the training sticks. Think of board and train programs like a jump start to good behavior. Boarding and training programs can provide a great opportunity for dogs and their owners to build a stronger, more positive relationship and enjoy a more fulfilling life together.

Our 14 day board and train program covers the following skills:

  • Walking nicely on a leash
  • Sit
  • Wait at doorways
  • Name recognition
